6-Month Report

We have now been in operation for six (6) months. We thought this was a good time for a report on our progress, and a request for your feedback. (To review the Board's Full Report, please Click here.)

We have hired seven (7) New Orleans Police Officers, who now patrol our neighborhood every evening and night. Our security detail is led by Chris Abbott, who has provided security detail to our neighborhood since 1999.

All patrol members will be easily identifiable as NOPD. On most days, two cars will be running during the most active evening hours. Extra security will be provided during holidays, as appropriate. And each patrol now carries a GPS system to ensure accountability. This is new.

If you haven’t already done so, please go to the web site and register! You do NOT need to be a District Member to register. (The registration button is at the top of the page).

Our best means of providing safety information quickly is by e-mail, but we do also send some letters by US Mail. By registering, you will help us know that we have your correct -- and current -- contact information.

We remain committed to doing everything possible to improve your security and safety.

We would like to hear your thoughts, comments and questions on how we can further improve the security of the neighborhood. What is working? What is not? Have you had contact with the patrol officers? Were they professional? How can they help you better? Etc. Please let us know!
